I found a great new way to use our Landscape Metal and Leather Journal Kit! I cut the cover into 2 pieces; one piece 1" wide and one piece 4 3/4" wide (you'll need to cut a 1/4" strip off one piece to achieve these measurements). I then made some elegant diamond shaped ornaments and riveted through the ornaments, the leather, the spine, the text block, the back cover, the leather again and the decorations on the back. Whew! I wasn't sure that 2 long rivets made from wire would be sufficient to hold the book together but it is just as sturdy as can be. There's a 1/4" joint between the 2 pieces of metal on the front of the book. The leather is what holds the right, front piece of the cover on.
